Malcolm J. McPherson, Jr., Grand Exalted Ruler

Malcolm J. (Mac) McPherson, Jr. was born in Newark, New Jersey on December 7, 1955 to Malcolm J. McPherson, Sr. and Miriam (nee Murray) McPherson. Malcolm has one sister, Susanne McPherson. He attended Sacred Heart Grammar School, Lyndhurst High School, Seton Hall University, and Seton Hall Law School, graduating law school in 1981.

Malcolm met his wife Patricia (Pat) (nee Schember) in high school and they were married on August 15, 1981. They have two daughters, Meghan and Mallory, both of them are officers of Lyndhurst Lodge No. 1505. Upon graduation from law school, Malcolm joined the law firm of Edwards and Antholis as an associate until becoming a partner in 1986, remaining there until 1990.

In 1991, he opened his own private practice specializing in civil law, including matrimonial, municipal land use, wills and estates. He was also a former attorney for the Passaic County Elks Cerebral Palsy Treatment Center. In 1992, he was appointed the attorney for the Lyndhurst Rent Leveling Board and presently still holds that position.

Malcolm was initiated into Lyndhurst Lodge No. 1505 in March 1981, proposed by his soon to be father-in-law, Walter Schember, Sr. He was installed as Lodge Esquire in March 1982 and continued on as Esteemed Lecturing Knight, Esteemed Loyal Knight, Esteemed Leading Knight and elected as Exalted Ruler in 1986-1987. Following that, Malcolm served his Lodge in many capacities including Justice of the Subordinate Forum from 1987-2005. He achieved Honorable Life Membership in April 1997.

On the State leve, he served as Chairman for the North Central District's Ritual Committee as well as being a certified Ritualistic judge, which he continues to be to this day. He served as attorney for both the New Jersey State Elks Association Convention and Special Children's Committee. Malcolm was also Chairman of the New Jersey State Laws Committee. He was elected President of the New Jersey State Elks Association 1999-2000.

At the Grand Lodge level, Malcolm was appointed District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler of New Jersey's North Central District in 1995-1996, Grand Lodge Ritualistic Committeeman in 2002-2003, Grand Lodge Committee on Judiciary in 2003-2005, member of the Pardon Commission in 2009-2010, Special Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the state of New Jersey from 2009 to the present.

On a personal level, Malcolm was a member and coach of the Little Falls Athletic Club. He coached basketball and softball in Little Falls from 1989 until 2001. He was a member of the American Bar Association. He and his family are parishioners of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R. C. Church.

Millard C. Pickering, PGER

Millard C. Pickering was initiated into the Bristow OK, Lodge 1614 in 1976. He joined a committee in Branson to institute a new lodge and was installed as Charter Loyal Knight of Lake Taneycomo Lodge 2597 in 1980 and served as ER in 1981–82 before returning to OK to attend the University of Tulsa, Collage of Law.

He joined Sapulpa, OK Lodge 1118 and served as Secretary and President of the P.E. R. Association; he chaired the Auditing, Indoctrination, Government Relations, Drug Awareness, Membership and National Foundation Committees.

He served as DDGER in 2001–2002, and served on the GL Committee of Judiciary for eight years, including two as Chairman, on the GL Lodge Resolutions Committee for three years the last as Chairman, on the GL Pardon Commission for three years and as a Justice of the Grand Forum for five years completing his term as Chief Justice.

He enjoys an active lifestyle and enjoys aviation, martial arts, cooking, travel, mixology and cross-country motorcycling and has ridden his motorcycles in all 50 states and is a life member of Harley Owners Group.

Millard and his lovely wife Susanne, a Colligate Academic Counselor of many years have been married since 1989, and are members of St Mary Catholic Church in Tulsa, where Millard is a Charter member of the local Knights of Columbus Council, and are proud God Parents to two nieces and a nephew.
